I looked at this and said “Kids have terrible taste in animated movies”. Now this is mostly because there hasn’t been an animated movie that looks different from the others(with exceptions like into the spider verse and that new sponge bob movie has a okay style). Also they all have that one liner that children quote again and again and again. This was probably animated by the same people who did soul(which was pretty good but this looks exactly the same. Now if soul 2 looked the same, that makes sense in my mind so maybe it’s just me)

I have a bad feeling about this movie, I can't pin down why. It's visually stunning, it's trying something new, it seems to be taking world building more seriously, it's made by the studio that made Moana, these are all good qualities. But the little voice in my head is screaming "This movie is gonna suck!" I hope I'm proven wrong, but these trailers feel like a hardcore pandering attempt to be "cool". I'm worried that all the jokes and story beats will not land and just feel stupid, but regardless of whether the movie sucks or not, if it has one good song in it the Disney fanbase will hold it on a pedastal for the rest of my life, so I will just have to suck it up and pretend like it's a good movie.

Soooo basically it's Mulan, Avatar: The Last Airbender and My Little Pony mixed into one story... I love Awkwafina as I think she's hilarious but the Dragon design just seems off, even the Thumbnails look like a photoshop of two movies in one. Disney..... do better

This actually looks pretty good. My only gripe is how the dragons design just doesn’t fit with the overall atmosphere of the trailer. Of course to you it might actually fit quite well this is just my opinion.

Man, this looks nice, but I hate how Disney now feels like they HAVE TO add a relatable, modern touch with some Facebook type humor in all of their movies. Here we have the generic baby character who can do some GI Joe stuff just because, as well as the "modern speech" some of these comic relief characters will no doubt use throughout the movie. On top of the trendy music that will appear at least once. Sometimes I wish Disney would do a sacrifice and go the Pixar route, go all out on character and flavoring of the worlds they build. Soul, Onward, Coco, movies like these are so very truthful and faithful to their eras, themes and concepts that the music, characters, society and the world visually constantly compliment them, without having to break off for a moment to pull some #relatable funny humor. It pulls you out of the world and feels like they're uncertain whether or not the story can support itself (when ironically this drags it down further). Just please, don't overdo it in this one. That's all I ask. But then again it is Disney so... money over quality I guess. As a general rule in our times. The company has really fallen off its throne. Edit: I hadn't finished the trailer when writing this comment. Now I have. Oh boy, it's already too much. Why is a dragon talking about group projects and grades? Oh I know. Because kiddies, right? Forget the various smart ways of connecting with your target audience, let's just have people act and talk like kids, perhaps reference relevant tik tok trends too. Man, come on, I want to like this.

This looks fun but GOD am I tired of the "quirky" one-liner editing style of Disney trailers (well... trailers in general these days) where they show important scenes right off the bat, like STOP! We saw the dragon, the suspense is ruined from what was clearly supposed to be a twist moment.
