I don't know but I kinda enjoyed The Originals more but probably cause I got bored of TVD eventually

I'm an hour and a half in and I'm amazed you still have another HOUR of stuff to say about VPD! This show was basically my favourite thing on TV from when it aired in 2009 (i was 12) until i gave up on it first year of university. Yes, that included reading most of the books, I lived through the owl lady and fox twins *shrugs*. Surprisingly I've never rewatched the show, but it also is kinda hard to go back to S1 after being slow boiled into all the weird shit that goes on throughout the seasons. Anyway, it's a lot of fun to relive this series years later through the lens of someone else whos literally willing to play an ancient game to cover all her bases!

Oh, god, what the heck. This just popped up again and it says I have an hour and ten minutes unwatched and I'm like "BUT I HAVE GIVEN IT THREE VIEWING SESSIONS ALREADY" and somehow one of my friends is deliberately dedicating a huge chunk of her life to actually rewatching this entire show and frankly I don't have time left on my life cycle for that yet I'm watching this concentrated version and it's like when they give you the glucose solution during pregnancy and you're like "This will be okay; it's just flat Fanta" but then it sears your teeth right out of your mouth

Vampire blood rules remind me of true blood/southern vampire mysteries. and in that world there are humans who intentionally take it to up their athletic abilities or to heal themselves from wounds, but conversely there is a chance that when you do that that you could potentially turn yourself into a vampire if you have enough of the vampire blood already in you.

I've stopped watching the show at the sirens period long ago. Your video is hilarious! I forgot about so many obnoxious details, the show is a hot beautiful mess :)

this video was really great and showed how people have VERY opposing opinions to how other people watch the show! but other than that girl how do you NOT LIKE KAI?!? and def team stefan is better, i personally think damon was babied the whole show and though he shows a lot of character development he still does things rationally and never thinks before acting on something. Stefan on the other hand had to go through so much and people were still very hard on him and had a lot of inner self working he had to do which none of the characters really saw. just a thought!

On the glasses thing- you’re so right! I remember vividly that I was watching a compulsion scene from season 2 or 3 and they always zoom in really close on the eyes and that’s how I realized that you can see the contacts on peoples eyeballs. Like that’s something that’s served me in life lol. If you ever want to know how bad someone’s eyesight is even if they’re not wearing glasses you can see it on there eyeballs. TVD taught me that. 😌😂

I've never seen your videos. I only watched The Vampire Diaries pilot. Yet I've watched the entirety of this video. Things I've learned: 1) This show looks rather corny and boring 2) Jenny has super blue eyes 3) The Vampire Diaries writers didn't have a game plan 4) Chyna Beach exists

My ex was SUPER into this show. She tried to get me to watch it with her. I... I couldn't stand it. Between the dopplegangers and the vampires just being invincible. My biggest gripe about it and the "vampire" trope stuff is that TVD/VPD treats being a vampire like a walk in the park. It's SUPPOSED to be a curse! Magic rings that negate the whole sunlight weakness thing? Stupid.

Despite never having seen the show I have watched this video a wild number of times (ok - 5. It's just so hilarious) and only on this rewatch noticed the end credits scene. This video is the gift that keeps on giving!

The upgraded original from The Originals is indeed stronger than an enhanced original from The Vampire Diaries, but not because one was a vampire in first place and the other was human. This is all bound to the magic that created them. The enhanced original is born from the same magic that created the originals, while the upgraded original combines that magic with the venom of all packs of werewolves ( turns out that, while the venom of the werewolves could always kill a vampire, it wasn't always the SAME venom ). I find it stupid, tho, that Klaus can die from a bite of an upgraded original, considering that he is an Hybrid and so part werewolf. A werewolf can't die with werewolf venom. It's stupid. XD
